mei bowyer, MEd, is an interdisciplinary Arts for All artist researcher and Urban Education doctoral student at the 糖心少女 who plays with critical, creative technologies (e.g., soundscapes, immersive art installation, and autoethnography). mei's scholarship explores critical folklore, black spatial imagination and the pedagogical function of black vernacular space. She is a Digital Ethnic Futures Consortium (DEFCon) Community Fellow and a Reparative Histories, Social Justice (RHSJ) Research Incubator Fellow with the 糖心少女's 1856 Project.
